Provision of a manufacturing apparatus that can perform steps including a kneading step to a granulating step in one apparatus, can achieve a reduced size of the apparatus as a whole, and can reduce the variation in the diameter of kneaded granules. A manufacturing apparatus comprises: a kneading section feeding a kneaded material to a downstream side in the carrying direction while kneading a raw material; a granulating section performing granulation from the kneaded material generated in the kneading section.

A hot air drying device equipped with: rotary shafts (3, 4) provided with a plurality of paddles (3a, 3b, 4a, 4b) which rotate in opposite directions to each other; a housing (1) in which the rotary shafts (3, 4) are accommodated; and an air supply unit that is connected to the lower part on both sides of the housing and blows hot air into the lower part of the housing in the horizontal direction or diagonally upward. The rotary shafts (3, 4) are rotated at non-uniform speeds, and transport a substance to be dried while stirring the substance. Hot air blown into the lower part of the housing from air supply pipes (20b, 21b) of the air supply unit flows upward as a ventilating flow among the substance to be dried, and the substance to be dried is dried by the hot air which has become a ventilating flow.

APPARATUS FOR HEATING OR COOLING STARTING MATERIAL
The present invention is equipped with first and second rotary shafts 3, 4 and a plurality of disks 40, 50 disposed upright at equal intervals on the rotary shafts 3, 4, respectively. The disks are heated or cooled from the inside, and a starting material is heated or cooled through contact with the disk surfaces. To each of the disks 40, 50, respectively fastened are scraper members 45, 45' and 55, 55' that are adapted to enter a gap between two adjacent disk surfaces on the opposite side and scrape the starting material on the surfaces of the disks. The first and second rotary shafts 3, 4 are rotated at non-constant velocity such that the scraping members approach the disk surfaces in such a manner that the trajectories drawn on the surfaces vary, and therefore a starting material sticking to the disk surfaces can be effectively scraped off.

Kneading apparatus with rotary shafts having kneading members
A kneading apparatus has two rotary shafts mounted to undergo rotation in opposite directions at unequal speeds. Cubic-shaped kneading members having the same shape and size are detachably mounted to the rotary shafts so as to be arranged helically with an inverse helix from each other at a predetermined helical pitch and at predetermined angular pitch intervals for kneading an object during rotation of the rotary shafts. Each kneading member has side surfaces extending parallel to a rotational axis of the rotary shaft and front and rear surfaces extending perpendicular to the rotational axis. The side surfaces of each kneading member is curved in the shape of a concave. The rotary shafts are disposed close to one another so that tips of the kneading members on one of the rotary shafts enter into the concave curved surfaces of the opposing kneading members of the other of the rotary shafts without the opposing kneading members contacting one another during rotation of the rotary shafts.

Kneading apparatus with rotary shafts having stirring members and side blocking plates extending above shafts
A kneading apparatus has a housing and first and second rotary shafts mounted in the housing in parallel to one another for undergoing rotation about respective axes in opposite directions at unequal speeds to one another for kneading an object. The first and second rotary shafts have respective first and second stirring members arranged helically at a predetermined helical pitch and at predetermined angular pitch intervals, with the second stirring members being arranged with an inverse helix from that of the first stirring members. Side blocking plates disposed in the housing partially block the kneaded object and move it between the first and second rotary shafts. The side blocking plates are spaced apart from one another to provide a space above the first and second rotary shafts such that the kneaded object can pass through the space in the axial direction of the first and second rotary shafts.

Paddles (Pn, Pn', Qn, Qn') functioning as kneading members are attached to two rotational shafts (3, 4), which rotate in the opposite direction at unequal speeds, at a predetermined spiral pitch and at a predetermined angle pitch interval so as to form a reverse spiral with one another. An object to be kneaded is kneaded by rotating each rotational shaft. The side surfaces extending in the axial direction of the rotational shaft of each paddle on the rotational shafts are curved in the shape of a concave. The rotational shafts are disposed close to one another such that the tips of the paddles on one rotational shaft enter into the concaved curved surfaces of the opposing paddles of the other rotational shaft when the rotational shafts rotate. A high compression effect and cracking effect are exerted because it is possible to reduce the gap between opposing paddles.

Kneading apparatus with rotary shafts having stirring members
A kneading apparatus has a pair of rotary shafts mounted to undergo rotation in different directions of rotation and at different rotational speeds from one another. Stirring members are helically arranged on outer peripheries of the rotary shafts at predetermined helical and angular pitches for kneading an object during rotation of the rotary shafts. The helical pitch of the stirring members of one of the rotary shafts has an inverse helix from that of the stirring members of the other rotary shaft. The stirring members have surfaces with a first phase configured to move the kneaded object in a feed direction or a second phase symmetrical to the first phase and configured to move the kneaded object in a direction reverse to the feed direction. The stirring members are arranged so that the first and second phases cyclically repeat in a predetermined sequence in axial directions of the rotary shafts.

A plurality of paddles (Pn (n = 1 - 17)) are so erected on the outer circumference of a spindle (3) as are arranged spirally at a pitch of a predetermined angle of 90 degrees, and a plurality of paddles (Qn) are so erected on the outer circumference of a spindle (4) as are arranged spirally at a pitch of a predetermined angle of 72 degrees. The spindles (3 and 4) are rotated at unequal speeds in directions opposite to each other, so that kneading objects are transferred, while being kneaded by the individual paddles, in one transfer direction along the spindles (3 and 4). The paddle faces of the individual paddles are made to have either a positive phase for advancing the kneading objects in the forward direction or a negative phase, and are arrayed such that they are individually repeated periodically in the sequence of 'forward phase, forward phase and backward phase' in the axial direction of the spindles. The kneading object by the paddles of the backward phase is pushed back in the direction opposite to the transfer direction so that many agitating actions can be performed to do the sufficient and homogeneous kneading operations.
