A bioleaching and solvent extraction process with selective recovery of copper and zinc from polymetallic sulphide concentrates is described, comprising a bioleaching and ferric ion reducing process and a copper and zinc solvent extraction process.
The bioleaching and ferric ion reducing process comprises a concentrates pulp conditioning step; a bioleaching step, wherein once the pulp is conditioned it is subjected to a bioleaching process using a plurality of bioreactors of the stirred-tank type with an air injection and diffusion system, which allows handling of a pulp density higher than 15%; a step of solid separation from a solution rich in metallic ions from the bioleaching step; and, a ferric ion reduction step, wherein the pulp from the previous step is subjected to a transformation step of ferric ions into ferrous ions.
The solvent extraction step comprises a copper solvent extraction and electrolysis step; an arsenic control step, wherein arsenic is controlled in the solution once copper has been extracted from it; and, a zinc solvent extraction and electrolysis step, which uses a phosphinic acid-based zinc extraction dissolution.

The invention relates to a method for bioleaching and solvent extraction with selective recovery of copper and zinc from polymetal concentrates of sulfides, comprising a process of bioleaching and reduction of ferric ion and a process of solvent extraction of copper and zinc. The process of bioleaching and reduction of ferric ion comprises a step of conditioning a pulp of concentrates; a step of bioleaching, wherein, once the pulp has been conditioned, it is subjected to a bioleaching process using a plurality of bioreactors of the mixing tank type with a system for the injection and diffusion of air, which allows the handling of a pulp density higher than 15 %; a step of separating solids from a solution rich in metal ions obtained in the bioleaching step; and a step of reduction of ferric ion, wherein the pulp from the previous step is subjected to a step of conversion of the ferric ions to ferrous ions. The step of solvent extraction comprises a step of solvent extraction and electrolysis of copper; a step of arsenic control, wherein, once the copper has been extracted from the solution, the arsenic in said solution is controlled; and a step of solvent extraction and electrolysis of zinc, which uses a zinc-extracting solution based on phosphinic acids.

ELECTRICAL AND/OR TELECOMMUNICATIONS CABLES WITH RETRO-REFLECTIVE INTEGRAL COVERING FOR USE IN AGGRESSIVE ENVIRONMENTS WITH LITTLE OR ZERO VISIBILITY AND THE METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention relates to electrical and/or telecommunications cables with retro-reflective integral covering for use in aggressive environments of little or zero visibility and the method for the production thereof. The cables of the present invention comprise: a core that may incorporate a plurality of electrical and/or telecommunications conductors, reinforcement elements and/or filler elements; a first protective covering layer that encloses the core; at least one reflective strip comprising external-visible-light retro-reflective elements, which encloses the first protective covering layer and forms a second covering layer; and a third protective covering layer that encloses both the second covering layer, formed by the reflective strip comprising retro-reflective elements, and the first protective covering layer. Once formed, the first protective covering layer, the reflective strip comprising retro-reflective elements that form the second protective covering layer and the third protective covering layer together form an integral covering that surrounds the core.

BIOLEACHING BIOREACTOR WITH A SYSTEM FOR INJECTION AND DIFFUSION OF AIR
The present invention relates to a bioleaching bioreactor that has a system for injection and diffusion of air, which allows control of the fine size of the air bubble, thereby improving the distribution of oxygen and carbon dioxide that are required by the microorganisms that promote the bioleaching process, with a view to maintaining cell concentration during the process. The bioleaching bioreactor comprises a reactor body for containing the pulp to be processed and allowing the reaction to take place; a support base for immobilizing the reactor body; a device for supplying pulp, which is projected towards the inside of the reactor body; a system for injection and diffusion of air for mixing and supplying the air required by the reaction process; at least four vortex-breaker elements located inside the reactor body; at least one heating element surrounding the reactor body for maintaining the reaction temperature; a pulp-exit port for delivery of the processed pulp; an entry port for pulp to be processed; an air-entry port located at the upper end of the reactor body; and a vapour-exit port located at the upper end of the reactor body.
