Abstract

The present invention relates to sheets or webs of a resin-impregnated fibrous material, comprising an impregnating resin, which comprises a combination of a) at least one resin component A, which is selected from the group consisting of aminoplast resins and phenoplast resins and mixtures thereof; and b) at least one resin component B, which is an oligomer or polymer having ethylenically unsaturated double bonds, wherein at least 40 mol-%, in particular at least 60 mol-%, especially at least 80 mol-% or 100 mol-% of the ethylenically unsaturated double bonds are selected from the group consisting of allyl groups, acryl groups and methacryl groups. The invention also relates to a process for producing a resin-impregnated fibrous material as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, which comprises impregnating a fibrous material in the form sheet or a web with a liquid resin composition comprising a combination of a) the resin component A, preferably in the form of a pre-condensate; and b) the resin component B as defined herein.

Abstract

A fibrous substrate for producing a porous coating base paper or prepreg comprises a flat, impregnatable structure consisting of cellulose fibers and containing at least one pigment species and optionally additional materials used for paper. The cellulose fibers contain a proportion of between 1 and 20 wt.% of nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC). A method for producing the fibrous substrate comprises the steps: providing an aqueous suspension which contains a cellulose-containing material and an admixture of the mentioned pigment species and optionally additional materials used for paper; - sheet forming; - drying. The cellulose material contains a proportion of NFC from 1 to 20 wt.% with a specific surface area (SSA) of at least 125 m2/g.

Abstract

An improved method and an improved device for carrying out an optical comparison between at least two samples, preferably by comparing sections that can be selected, is characterized by the following characteristics: the sample (UR, LE, I) that is to be examined and is characterized by a non-uniformity in the structure and/or color is illuminated by diffused light; from the light reflected by the sample (UR, LE, I) to be examined, an interference spectrum is created by means of a spectrometer; the interference spectrum created by the spectrometer is depicted on a camera; the interference spectrum obtained in this way and/or values of the sample (I) to be examined derived therefrom are used as sample values which are compared to sample values of a reference sample (UR, LE) obtained accordingly.
