A first web-shaped material (1) is embossed in a nip (6) between a first embossing roll (4) and a counter roll (5), thereby creating a set of embossments. A first ink with a first colour is applied to a first subset of said set of embossments of said first web-shaped material while the material still resides on said first embossing roll. Thereafter an adhesive is applied to a second subset of said set of embossments of said first web-shaped material (1) while the material still resides on said first embossing roll (4). After that, said first web-shaped material is combined with a second web-shaped material (2) to form a multi-ply web (3). There is also provided a printed and embossed multi-ply web (3).
The invention relates to pulp treatment by pulp fractionation such that the pulp is fractionated into a short fiber fraction and a long fiber fraction, wherein the short fiber fraction bypasses the refiner and the long fiber fraction is mechanically treated in the refiner, whereafter the untreated short fiber fraction and the mechanically treated long fiber fraction are mixed together or are used separately for paper production. By this fiber fractionation before refining fiber lengths distribution is optimized in order to maximize the strengths properties and to minimize the fines content. According to this mode the long fiber fraction will have a mechanical treatment which is more effective.

Abstract
The invention relates to a method for the production of flat paper products having increased relative wet tearing resistance and softness from a pulp suspension, wherein a block polymer is added to the pulp suspension in the paper product and method for the production and use thereof, and/or the paper product is treated during production, or subsequently, with the block polymer. The invention further relates to a paper product produced in such manner. Such paper products are particularly used as tissue products.
The idea of the present invention is to provide a decorative embossing which is constituted of at least a first decorative embossing pattern (37) and a second decorative embossing pattern (38). In this context, the protuberances of the first decorative embossing pattern (37) on the embossing roll (31) have a larger height than the protuberances of the second decorative embossing pattern (38) on the embossing roll (31). Correspondingly, the bosses of the first decorative embossing imparted to at least one ply of the multi-ply paper product are larger than the bosses of the second decorative embossing imparted to the at least one ply of the multi-ply paper product. Because of this configuration, glue may only be applied on top of the bosses of the first decorative embossing so that ply bonding is only achieved at these sites or locations by means of the applied adhesive. Therefore, the first design elements corresponding to the first decorative embossing, and the second design elements corresponding to the second decorative embossing, are decoupled. A first design element, therefore, may be adapted to the required glued area in view of the ply bonding to be achieved as well as the properties to be achieved in regard of softness and bulk, etc., whereas the second design elements may substantially freely be varied.
The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a multi-layer tissue paper, in which one layer is a strength layer primarily distined for strength and at least one of the layers is a softness layer being primarily destined for softness. Improved softness, strength, haptic, absorptions speed, absorption capacity, thickness is achieved by fractionation of the furnish for the softness layer in that fractionated short fibers/fines are added to the other furnish being destined for a strength layer.
The present invention relates to a disposable tissue paper product which feels dry to the touch and comprises a lathering surfactant in a form capable of forming lather upon contact with water, wherein said tissue paper product is obtainable by applying said lathering surfactant or a composition containing the lathering surfactant to one or more plies of dry tissue paper web, the lathering surfactant is present in an amount of 0.01 to 6 g/m2, and, if a composition containing the lathering surfactant is applied, the total amount of non-volatile components of said composition does not exceed 20 wt.-% of the dry weight of said one or more tissue paper plies, a process for its manufacture and its use in cleaning hard surfaces.
The invention concerns a method for producing a multi-ply paper product (4), comprising the steps of feeding an upper ply (1) with a first feeding velocity (V4) into a stuffing nip (5), the upper ply having cushion recesses (10) embossed therein and feeding a middle ply (2) with a second feeding velocity (V2) into the stuffing nip for stuffing at least a portion of the middle ply into the cushion recesses of the upper ply, the second feeding velocity being higher than the first feeding velocity.
