Abstract

The invention relate to a method for producing a bulk good of agglomerates made of rubber particles and wax, wherein a composition of the agglomerate and the use of said bulk good to produce asphalt or bitumen masses are created in that rubber is activated by swelling and using a swelling agent and a melt made of viscosity-reducing wax and of optional polyoctenamer is added, the activated rubber particles are agglomerated by means of the viscosity-reducing wax and optional adhesion-improving substances, wherein the resulting larger volume leads to a viscosity reduction and the softening leads to a more intimate and more homogeneous wetting with the wax and, in the mixed good to be produced, a viscosity reduction remaining stable in the mixed good for < 180 min and an increased stability of the cross-linking of the rubber molecules among each other after the agglomerates have been incorporated are achieved.

Abstract

The aim of the invention is to create a method for reusing reclaimed asphalt, which is environmentally friendly in conventional systems, increases the reutilization rate of reclaimed asphalt when producing hot mixed asphalt products, and reduces the amount of new material used, such as minerals and binder/bitumen. Said aim is achieved by adjusting the high degree of hardness of the bitumen in the reclaimed asphalt, which is due to the age of the bitumen, by means of a softener while adding a hardener in combination therewith. Said softener-hardener system is added to a mixture containing reclaimed asphalt, primarily in the hot phase of the mixture.

Abstract

The invention relates to the use of wax dispersions containing oily waxes as hydrophobizing agent in the production of timber products. In particular, the invention relates to the production of hydrophobized timber products using wax dispersions of paraffinic soft waxes as are either produced directly in the process of mineral oil refining, or are formed in the course of degreasing waxes, and to the timber products thus produced.

Abstract

The invention provides nanoparticulate wax dispersions comprising wax solids having a solidification point of greater than 40 to 150°C, a process for preparing them, and a method of hydrophobicizing materials produced using fibres, chips or strands comprising or consisting of lignocelluloses and/or celluloses, by contacting them with the wax dispersions.
