Abstract

In order to seal (6) a projectile (1) with respect to a sleeve (2) of a projectile cartridge (3), two layers (4, 5) are applied one after the other. One of the layers (4) contains a highly viscous sealing medium, in particular a bitumen mixture, with an additive for increasing the slip properties, while the other layer (5) contains the sealing medium without additive. During the joining of the projectile (1) and the sleeve (2), the layer (5) without additive prevents the layer (4) with additive from being pressed into the sleeve.
