Disclosed herein are a novel deer PDGF-B polypeptide and a gene encoding the same. The PDGF-B is superior in wound healing activity to human PDGF-B. Abstract
Disclosed herein is a novel insulin-like growth factor (IGF) -2 polypeptide, derived from deer antlers. Having the function of promoting the growth of osteoblast cells, the polypeptide is useful in the treatment of osteoporosis. Also, a gene coding for the polypeptide, a recombinant vector carrying the same, and host cells transformed with the recombinant vector are disclosed.
