Abstract

An instrument to prepare and safely place an intra-uterine device in uterus of a woman, comprising a dynamic stopper, a string management arrangement whereby a string of an IUD is in one of a locked condition or an unlocked condition, an operating device, further comprising a base, a cover a carriage, wherein the dynamic stopper slidably resides in the base and can slide by the sliding length, wherein the string exits from an outpoint and re-enters from an inpoint, the outpoint is at a trim length and the inpoint is at a conservative length. The string can be trimmed as per sounding measurement of uterus of woman, before inserting the instrument in uterus and string entanglement possibilities are eliminated, irrespective of type of IUD.

Abstract

A combination current sensing device comprising a plurality of current measuring sensors, at least one ambience measuring sensor, a voltage measuring device and a computing device; at least a magnetic field concentrator, and a controlled module assembly constraining the magnetic field concentrator and the bar conductor, in a defined position with respect to one another; the combination current sensing device may have a plurality of incoming connections and a plurality of outgoing connections; and the computing device outputs a validated measure of primary current and an auxiliary information according to a plurality of range and a safe value of the primary current, ensuring functional safety. The voltage measuring device determines a voltage, configured functions and health of an electric source in combination with other sensors and the computing device. One or more of the devices may be optional and or external to the combination current sensing device.

Abstract

An intrauterine device (IUD) with a restricted movement of a string(s), the strings can be either a single string or two or more strings or a filament, emerging from the spherical bulge of IUD. The strings of IUD are of a differential strength so that the strings are soft and the hanging portion of the strings, “feelable” in the vaginal cavity, does not cause discomfort to the woman, nor bruise the organ of the partner during intercourse, at the same time the strings in the endocervical canal are relatively stiffer and not have the tendency to get curled up progressively. The strings optionally have marks to facilitate cutting by a surgeon to an accurate length.

Abstract

An intrauterine device (20) with a restricted movement of a knot (5) of the string (4) due to a region (3) having such differed shape and size at a distal end (12) of central vertical stem (1) and due to a trajectory for string (4) in the region (3) that the length of the string (S) is shorter than the distance (r) of the region (3); and the loop (15) of the string and therefore the knot (5) is unable to pivot around the axis (14) . The lateral shift of the knot (5) is also prevented. Consequent to restricted pivoting and restricted lateral shift of the knot (5), the hanging portion (9) of the string (4) continue to project downwards and do NOT develop tendency to get retracted and thus do not curl up in the uterus (16) through the cervix (17).

Abstract

A process and an apparatus for loading, insertion and placement of an intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD) for its proper and hygienic placement in the uterus, the apparatus in a sterile pouch having a transparent cover and a base; the apparatus having a loader with a passage having a first opening and a second opening running along its elongated body, a graduated tube mounted onto loader through its second opening, an IUD and a push rod running inside the graduated tube. The IUD is parked in the loader in an expanded condition, required to maintain inside the uterus. The loader has a guide means forming the front portion of the loader and pusher means forming rear portion of the loader. A platform connects the guide means and the pusher means of the loader. The passage runs along an elongated body of the loader.
