The present utility model relates to the technical field of inflatable kayaks, and in particular to an inflatable kayak, characterized in that the inflatable kayak comprises a cockpit bottom drop stitch fabric air chamber and a cockpit top drop stitch fabric air chamber; the cockpit bottom drop stitch fabric air chamber is configured as a plate-like strip-shaped chamber; horn-shaped openings are provided in the middles of both ends of the plate-like strip-shaped chamber respectively; a first sealing strip is affixed to the middle of the top of the plate-like strip-shaped chamber between the horn-shaped openings; the horn-shaped openings of the plate-like strip-shaped chamber are each docked by means of a second sealing strip so as to form the bow and the stern of the kayak; the cockpit top drop stitch fabric air chamber is configured as a plate-type air chamber having flanks; the plate-type air chamber comprises a flat plate part and flank parts; third sealing strips are affixed between the flank parts and the lower plate surface of the flat plate part; the cockpit bottom drop stitch fabric air chamber and the cockpit top drop stitch fabric air chamber are hermetically connected by means of fourth sealing strips so as to form the kayak having a cockpit therein; and a seat hole communicated with the cockpit is formed in the cockpit top drop stitch fabric air chamber. The present utility model has the advantages of having a simple structure, being provided with the cockpit, having a large cockpit space and good sealing performance, realizing dry-wet separation, etc.

Abstract

A canoe is provided, which is easier to store and transport than the canoes of the prior art, still being versatile, strong and durable in regard of its primary use as a paddling boat. The invention provides a collapsible canoe, such as a kayak, comprising at least two molded hull sections and also a method of manufacturing a canoe. The canoe comprises a joint for releasable connection of a first hull section to a second hull section, wherein each hull section of the joint comprises means for mating the other hull section. Thereby the invention provides a canoe having sections that can be connected for use as a boat and separated for transport and storing. Preferably, the mating means are molded into each respective hull section.
