Abstract

A device for detecting power for exercise equipment has a wheel driven by a person exercising, a speedometer for determining the speed of rotation of the wheel and a brake jaw supported by a mounting device and applicable against the wheel. The mounting device is connected to the frame of the exercise equipment and has a moving part which supports the brake jaw and which, under the action of the braking force, is applicable against a resilient shoulder. The shoulder has a strain gauge for measuring elastic deformations in the shoulder and thereby also indirectly the size of the braking force.

Abstract

A dumbbell with a selectable number of weight disks includes a handle with projectable pins in opposing directions, with end surfaces, a base assembly for accommodating two sets of weight disks standing upright, the weight disks having central openings. The projection lengths of the pins are stepwise selectable by an indexing device in order thereby to permit selection of the number of weight disks supported on the handle. Neighboring weight disks and the handle have mutually engaging connecting arrangements which axially interconnect the weight disks and the handle but which permit radial separation. In order to prevent the set projection lengths of the pins from being unintentionally altered, when a dumbbell lifted up out of the base assembly is used, the handle has a locking arrangement which locks the pins in the set projection positions.

Abstract

Neighboring weight disks have mutually cooperating connecting arrangements which axially interconnect the weight disks but which permit radial separation. The projection lengths of the pins are stepwise selectable in order thereby to permit selection of the number of weight disks carried on the handle. The handle has, in opposing ends, connecting arrangements for interconnecting with the connecting arrangements of the innermost weight disks in the base assembly. Further, the space between the connecting arrangements of the handle is free through 360° about the handle throughout its entire length, the openings of the weight disks being centrally located.

Abstract

A collapsible training apparatus (100) , comprising a stationary frame structure (110) adapted to be upright positioned. The frame structure (110) has an upper portion (111) and a lower portion (112) . The collapsible training apparatus (100) also comprises a foldable bench (140) that has a proximal portion (141) and a distal portion (142) . The proximal portion (141) is pivotally arranged at said lower portion (112) for pivotal movement of the bench (140) between a folded position, substantially parallel to the frame (110) , and an unfolded position, substantially perpendicular to the frame (110) . The collapsible training apparatus further has a first safety device (130) integrated with the upper portion (111) , which safety device (130) is arranged to engage the distal portion (142) when the bench (140) is in the folded position.
