REFEED STRUCTURE AND ROLL-UP DOOR ASSEMBLY

Abstract

A refeed block for refeeding a displaced edge of a roll-up door into the rail of a refeed assembly. The refeed block has two guide blocks placed at an angle to one another and each has a low coefficient of friction such that the lateral edge of the roll-up door can glide over the guide block with virtually no drag from the guide block.

Abstract

A manual release structure and roll-up door assembly is provided such that the edges of the roll-up door can be intentionally disengaged from the guideway. This is accomplished by using modified roll-up door elements at the edges of the door. One modification is made to the rail within which the door edges reside when the door is in its down or “closed” position. Another modification is made to a face frame slide within which the rail resides. Still another modification is made to the edges of the roll-up door. Together, these modifications result in an improved manual release structure to be used when release of the door edge becomes necessary.

Abstract

A conditioned air vestibule can be positioned between a first zone and a second zone. The conditioned air vestibule can include a frame having first and second lateral side walls, a header positioned at the top of the frame, a blower, and an air flow assembly. The air flow assembly can include an exhaust panel having a plurality of exhaust ports. The plurality of exhaust ports can be in fluid communication with an interior of the frame and can provide a variable flow capacity that increases along a height of the exhaust panel from a top of the frame toward a bottom of the frame.

Abstract

Embodiments of the invention provide a sealing system configured to provide a sealed boundary between a conditioned and an uncontrolled or separately conditioned environment. In some examples, the sealing system may comprise a door, a conditioning device, and a seal assembly. The door may be moveable between an opened position and a closed position. The seal assembly may be coupled to the door and have an airflow path. When the door is in the closed position, the conditioning device may be configured to direct conditioned air into the airflow path, thereby urging conditioned air through the seal to inhibit undesirable door and/or adjacent surface conditions.

Abstract

A roll-up door (10) with slats (60) rolled on a reel (12) with spiral guides (32) that maintain a tangent between the reel (12) and the closure plane at the point of entry/exit so as to maintain a perpendicular entry and exit with the side guides (36) and reduce friction, increase speed, reduce noise and help keep self-aligning end caps tracking correctly. It can also eliminate hinges between slats and permit each slat to be removed independently, without disassembling the other slats.
